Grace Turner made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Addi Schrecker, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and three RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Haiden Thompson also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
South Oldham was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .524. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Oldham County faced Mercy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Colonels sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Jaguars. The Colonels haven't had any issues with the Jaguars recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Laken Nimmo looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched.
At the plate, Aubrey Batts was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Kayla Cartledge, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and two runs.
South Oldham's record is now 16-10. As for Oldham County, their record now sits at 23-9.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. South Oldham hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .344. However, it's not like Oldham County struggles in that department as they've averaged .346. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
