Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Alpine). Everything went their way against the Seagraves Eagles on Saturday as the Alpine Bucks made off with a 17-2 victory. Considering the Bucks have won five matches by more than eight runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Alpine pushed their record up to 7-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Seagraves, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Alpine will be playing at home against Monahans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Alpine knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Monahans likes a good challenge. As for Seagraves, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-8 defeat against Midland Texas Leadership Charter Academy on the 8th.
