The Forgan Bulldogs can finally bid farewell to their 12-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 50-34 victory over Rolla. That 16 point margin sets a new team best for Forgan this season.
When it comes to explaining why Rolla lost, one person who can't be blamed is Rylan Williams. Despite the final result, he scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Garrison, who scored seven points.
Forgan's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-16. As for Rolla, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-10.
Forgan won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Laverne at 8:00 a.m. on February 3rd. Forgan will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 470th, while Laverne is ranked 231st). As for Rolla, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Elkhart on Tuesday.
