Even though the Rock Hill Blue Hawks have not done well against the Guyer Wildcats recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Rock Hill came out on top against Guyer by a score of 52-41. The victory was all the more spectacular given Rock Hill's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 188th, while Guyer is ranked 31st).
Rock Hill got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Dextan Hutchinson out in front who scored ten points along with six rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Russell Garcia, who scored ten points along with six assists and six rebounds.
The victory got Rock Hill back to even at 12-12. As for Guyer, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-9.
Rock Hill will look to defend their home court on Friday against Prosper at 7:15 p.m. Prosper is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Guyer, they will head out on the road to take on Braswell at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
