The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Northwest Rankin considering their two-run performance the  matchup before.
  Grace Wallis was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching five innings while giving up  four earned runs off   six  hits (she also didn't allow any  walks). Wallis was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with two  doubles and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Jolie Hays, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Hannah Sullivan, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-4.
 Meanwhile,  it was close, but  on Tuesday Oak Grove sidestepped Meridian for  a  2-1 win.
 Northwest Rankin's victory was  their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 21-0. As for Oak Grove, they now  have a winning record of 8-7-1.
 Everything went Northwest Rankin's way against Oak Grove when the teams last played  back in March as Northwest Rankin made off with  an  8-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northwest Rankin since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
