This season hasn't been kind to the Roosevelt Cougars, who are still winless after their tenth game. The matchup between Roosevelt and Truman wasn't particularly close, with Roosevelt falling 28-12. Roosevelt was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Truman apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Jacobi Garcia looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 201 yards and two touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Truman also got a significant boost from Daveigh Saunders, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 93 yards.
Roosevelt's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-10. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 6.3 points per game. As for Truman, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.
Roosevelt does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Truman also has no future games currently scheduled.
