It was a good run, but The Westwood Panthers unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of Woodville by a score of 34-31. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Despite the loss, Westwood still got an impressive performance from Jordan Williams, who rushed for 156 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Kavian Bryant, who threw for 116 yards and two touchdowns.
Woodville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zayon Williams, who rushed for 100 yards and three touchdowns. Williams is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played. Ralon Williams was another key contributor, throwing for 160 yards and two touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes.
Westwood's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Woodville, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-3.
Westwood will square off against East Chambers at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (East Chambers is ranked 385th, while Westwood is ranked 399th). Woodville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
