Sadly, the Mitchell Marauders are still looking for their first win of the season after 19 games. They took a serious blow against Elizabeth on Tuesday, falling 77-30. Mitchell has struggled against Elizabeth recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Joey Dome had a dynamite game for Elizabeth, scoring 19 points. It was the first time this season that Dome scored 15 or more points. Diessen Lindsay was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Mitchell dropped their record down to 0-19 with that loss, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.3 points per game. As for Elizabeth, their victory ended a eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-16.
Mitchell will face off against Colorado Springs Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Elizabeth, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sierra at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Elizabeth will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 266th, while Sierra is ranked 104th).
