Long Beach is a perfect 9-0 against Pascagoula since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Long Beach Bearcats take on Pascagoula Panthers at 6:30 p.m. Long Beach has given up an average of 8.1 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Long Beach managed to slip by Poplarville the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Long Beach lost 12-0 to Poplarville on Thursday. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Bearcats were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Pascagoula hadn't done well against Vancleave recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Pascagoula had just enough and edged out Vancleave 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted against the Bulldogs since March 11, 2017.

Anneleese Rabon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Pascagoula saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dextiny Combs, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Yasmine Black also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Long Beach's loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Pascagoula, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-5.

Everything went Long Beach's way against Pascagoula when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Long Beach made off with a 6-0 victory. Does Long Beach have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pascagoula turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
