Tocoi Creek is a perfect 3-0 against Christ's Church Academy since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. Tocoi Creek's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Matanzas as Tocoi Creek made off with an 11-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Toros.

Bryson Williams looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Tocoi Creek let Tommy Glasspoole and Mikey Bergamo loose on the outfield. Glasspoole scored two runs and stole five bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Bergamo scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Karter Alvarez, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1.

Tocoi Creek always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Matanzas only posted an OBP of .286.

Meanwhile, Christ's Church Academy got the win against Cedar Creek Christian on Tuesday by a conclusive 15-1.

Jack Rose looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Jackson Vennard and Drew Erickson did most of the damage at the plate: Vennard scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Erickson scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1. Another player making a difference was Brady Watson, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Tocoi Creek's record now sits at 2-0. As for Christ's Church Academy, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Everything went Tocoi Creek's way against Christ's Church Academy when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Tocoi Creek made off with a 9-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tocoi Creek since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
