Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chester). They were the clear victors by a 29-1 margin over the DeSmet Bulldogs on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Flyers, who have now won seven matches by six runs or more so far this season.

The win was the third in a row for Chester, bringing their record up to 8-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.0 runs over those games. As for DeSmet, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chester will square off against Alcester-Hudson at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Flyers are on a ten-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), the Cubs a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind. As for DeSmet, they will challenge Florence/Henry at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
