Overhills strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past the NC GBB Academy Eagles 71-51. Fans of the Jaguars have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Overhills got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Najiha Allen out in front who shot 4-for-6 from downtown and dropped a double-double with 17 points and 12 boards. Allen is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last five games she's played dating back to last season. Paris Autry was another key player, going 8-for-12 en route to 20 points and five rebounds.

Despite the defeat, NC GBB Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Samira Shands shot 75% from the field on her way to 12 points in addition to five boards and four steals. Another player making a difference was Naomi Gilland, who posted ten points and seven rebounds.

Overhills' win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Overhills didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-51 victory against Lumberton on the 25th. As for NC GBB Academy, they will take on Mount Zion Christian Academy in a tournament on Friday.
