Hinsdale Central's Jacob White recorded the longest rushing play in West Suburban - Silver this season in his game against Proviso West last week. White ran for 70 yards on the play and finished with 150 on the day as his team defeated the Panthers.
Oak Park-River Forest added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Downers Grove North, 16-10. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
White was the best running back in the league this week. Ben Stefani also contributed to the rushing game with 121 yards on the ground.
White was a passing and rushing force as Hinsdale Central bested Proviso West.
Hinsdale Central's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Red Devils feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Chase Hamilton has thrown for 174 yards this season, while Stefani has 3 catches for 68 yards.
A big matchup in West Suburban - Silver this week will be when Glenbard West takes on Rich Tarka's team. The Hilltoppers are currently in third, while the Red Devils are in second.
Hinsdale Central made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,475 from 1,808. The improvement came about via a 31-0 victory over Famous Hulbert's team last week.
