The Phil Campbell Bobcats were the 64-49 winner over the Vinemont Eagles when they last played one another back in February of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Phil Campbell fell 63-51 to Vinemont on Tuesday.
Leading Vinemont to victory were Carley Stephens and Whitney Quick. Stephens scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds, while Quick scored 21 points along with 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Quick has scored at least 25% of Vinemont's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Flanagan, who scored 9 points along with 7 rebounds.
Phil Campbell's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Vinemont, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Phil Campbell will face off against Winston County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Winston County is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. Vinemont will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Addison at 5:45 p.m. on November 27th.
