After a string of five wins, the Borden County Coyotes's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 60-41 bruising from Farwell.
Farwell got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Makylee Baldwin out in front who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and five steals. The game was Baldwin's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Landri Richey was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Borden County's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Farwell, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Borden County and Lorenzo will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 6:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Farwell will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Nazareth at 4:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
