Hauser has gone a perfect 10-0 against Morristown recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Jets are taking a road trip to take on the Yellow Jackets at 5:30 p.m. Hauser is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
Hauser's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Waldron with a sharp 12-0 win. Considering the Jets have won seven games by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Haven Hartwell made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
In other batting news, Lucie Asher and Kaitlyn Robbinson did most of the damage at the plate: Asher went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base, while Robbinson got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases Robbinson has posted since back in April of 2024. Hope Tanner also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Hauser always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 17 runs the game before, Morristown was a bit more limited in their match on Monday. They lost 13-1 to Hauser.
Morristown saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nevaeh Cox, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Hauser's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-5. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Morristown, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.
Hauser took their victory against Morristown in their previous matchup on Monday by a conclusive 13-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
