Gavin Markey Goes Supernova in Jefferson Victory
Starting off the list is Jefferson's Gavin Markey, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Markey rushed for 123 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries, and also threw for 125 yards and two touchdowns on only nine passes. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 105 rushing yards.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Oconee County, bringing their record for this year to 4-3. Watkins will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against Cherokee Bluff on Thursday.

Kaden (Kt) Thompson's big game helped extend Cherokee Bluff's winning streak to seven on Friday. Nobody could stop Thompson as he picked up 98 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 51 yards and a touchdown. Those 51 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
Cherokee Bluff pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Thompson will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against Oconee County on Thursday.
