Dade County is 1-6 against Pepperell since October of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Dade County Wolverines will head out on the road to face off against the Pepperell Dragons at 7:30 p.m. Pepperell took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Dade County, who comes in off a win.
Dade County put the finishing touches on their third blowout victory of the season on Friday. They beat Chattooga by the very same score they won with last week: 42-7. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Dade County just coasted through the last quarter.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Pepperell's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They suffered a rough 35-14 defeat at the hands of Trion. While losing is never fun, Pepperell can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 280th, while Trion is ranked 132nd).
Pepperell's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Tyler Rogers, who rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown, and Sam Ross who rushed for 20 yards and a touchdown.
The victory makes it two in a row for Dade County and bumps their season record up to 3-5. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 35 points. As for Pepperell, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
Dade County came up short against Pepperell in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, falling 20-7. Thankfully for Dade County, D.j. Rogers (who rushed for 184 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.7 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
