Putnam County's 26-8 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a 64-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lowpoint-Washburn on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Seneca has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a hard 35-19 fall against Streator on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Seneca has scored all season.
Putnam County's defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-8. As for Seneca, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.
Putnam County came up short against Seneca in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 58-51. Can Putnam County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
