The Agua Dulce Longhorns will be home for the holidays to greet the Falfurrias Fightin' Jerseys at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Agua Dulce's defense has only allowed 27.3 points per game this season, so Falfurrias' offense will have their work cut out for Falfurrias.
Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Agua Dulce beat Premont 39-34.
Alyssa Vinton was the offensive standout of the contest as she scored 17 points along with three steals. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Calvez, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Falfurrias' recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 31-19 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kaufer. Falfurrias has struggled against Kaufer recently, as their match last Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Agua Dulce has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Falfurrias, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
