1. Enumclaw
2014 record: 28-1, Class 3A runner-up
Head coach: Mike Eckhart

Any talk of the Hornets begins with junior pitcher Quinn Breidenbach, who went 19-0 with a 0.33 ERA as a sophomore. The University of Massachusetts commit is also one of the state's best with a bat in her hand. Enumclaw is 49-3 over the past two seasons.

2. Redmond
2014 record: 22-6
Head coach: Parris Mamon

Shortstop Kaija Gibson was one of the state's best sophomores a year ago and is already committed to the University of Washington. The Mustangs also feature UW-bound senior outfielder Amirah Milloy (daughter of Washington and NFL safety Lawyer Milloy) and senior outfielder/pitcher Tatyana Forbes, who will play at Appalachian State.

3. Lake Washington (Kirkland)
2014 record: 22-2, Class 2A state champions
Head coach: Traci Tawney

The Kangaroos smoked opponents in last year's Class 2A state tournament by a combined score of 23-2 over four games. All but one of the 14 players listed on last year's roster are back, including a pair of aces in senior Maddie Brown – who missed last year's tournament run with a broken hand – and sophomore Tori Bivens. Lake Washington moves back to Class 3A to challenge Enumclaw after a brief stint in Class 2A.

4. Kamiakin (Kennewick)
2014 record: 24-2, Class 3A state champions
Head coach: Tim Bisson

The Braves would love to extend their historic three-peat but lost six key contributors from last year's title team. Junior outfielder McKenzie Lowry, senior catcher Tawny Becker and senior infielder Jenna Castilleja will be counted on to carry on the tradition.

5. Tahoma (Kent)
2014 record: 20-2
Head coach: Tom Milligan

When she's not busy scoring goals at a record rate for the soccer team, junior Mia Corbin is one of the state's best shortstops. Though Tahoma came up short in its bid for a state title on the field last year, the Bears were the Class 4A academic state champs with a combined team GPA of 3.688.
