Ganado is 1-9 against Shiner since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Ganado Indians will look to defend their home court against the Shiner Comanches at 6:15 p.m. Ganado will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1175th, while Shiner is ranked 223rd).
Ganado suffered their closest loss yet this season on Friday. They fell just short of Bloomington by a score of 32-29. That's two games in a row now that Ganado has lost by exactly three points.
The losing side was boosted by Zoey Ybarra, who scored 18 points along with seven steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Shiner waltzed into their game on Friday with 15 straight wins but they left with 16. They claimed a resounding 52-14 win over Louise on the road. Shiner has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 28 points or more this season.
Ganado has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-15 record this season. As for Shiner, they pushed their record up to 23-2 with that victory, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Ganado was taken down by Shiner 58-19 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Ganado was down 38-10.
