The State Line HomeSchool R Rush had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They came out on top against South Guilford HomeSchool by a score of 70-59. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
It was another big night for Aden Clark, who scored 38 points along with seven assists and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Emily Vaughan was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals.
Despite the loss, South Guilford HomeSchool still got an impressive performance from Kassidy Bullins, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 13 rebounds. Bullins has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kourtney Bullins, who scored 11 points.
Even though they lost, South Guilford HomeSchool smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as State Line HomeSchool R only pulled down an offensive rebound.
State Line HomeSchool R is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for South Guilford HomeSchool, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 14-5.
State Line HomeSchool R will take on Greater Cabarrus S at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Greater Cabarrus S is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for South Guilford HomeSchool, they will head out on the road to take on Community Baptist at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Community Baptist will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 505th, while South Guilford HomeSchool is ranked 161st).
