Pinewood Prep had already won 11 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it 12 on Friday. They never let the Bridges Prep Buccaneers get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. Pinewood Prep's victory was all the more impressive since the Buccaneers were averaging only 4.08 runs allowed on the season.

Drew Hartig made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Max Poulakis was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Finley Taylor was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3.

Pinewood Prep kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bridges Prep didn't got any hits.

Pinewood Prep's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.1 runs on average over those games. As for Bridges Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pinewood Prep will welcome First Baptist School at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 2.5, the Hurricanes 3) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Bridges Prep, they will host Hampton County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
