Collins Came Up Big in Northwest Whitfield's 48-21 Win
Starting off the list is Northwest Whitfield's Cameron Collins, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Collins rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries.
Northwest Whitfield's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Collins and Northwest Whitfield will face off against Calhoun at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Lafayette Gets a Boost from Finley in 48-21 Defeat
While LaFayette might've come up empty on Friday, Khalas Finley wasn't going down without a fight. Northwest Whitfield had no answer to Finley as he rushed for 87 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
Finley and LaFayette will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Heritage at 7:30 p.m. on October 18th. Gavin Nuckolls Makes It Two for Northwest Whitfield
Another Northwest Whitfield player making an appearance on this list is Gavin Nuckolls. He threw for 200 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.
On the year, Nuckolls has thrown 16 touchdowns (and and only 3 pick) while averaging 165.9 passing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he had ten passing touchdowns.

Bryan Posts Huge Game in 35-20 Loss
Heritage was sadly handed a loss on Friday, but Cody Bryan did his best to prevent it. Despite the defeat, Bryan was still balling out as he picked up 173 receiving yards.
Heritage's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. Bryan and Heritage will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on LaFayette at 7:30 p.m. on October 18th.

Bryson Donald Makes Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Bryson Donald of Ridgeland. Donald's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 102 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Ridgeland dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Panthers challenges Adairsville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
