The Rogers Rams were the 65-58 winner over the Beechcroft Cougars when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Rogers fell to Beechcroft 62-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Beechcroft to victory, but perhaps none more so than Santonio Dortch, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 10 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Rosean Burns, who scored 19 points along with 6 rebounds.
Rogers' defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Beechcroft, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rogers will take on Bowling Green at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Beechcroft, they will head out on the road to face off against South at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
