Faustina Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 24 points or more this season.
Ben Nelson was his usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Nelson is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Matthew Denny, who scored 11 points along with five assists and four steals.
Faustina Academy's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-3. As for Flint Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Faustina Academy will face off against Lakewood Presbyterian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakewood Presbyterian is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Flint Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Chisholm Trail Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Chisholm Trail Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Thursday.
