North found their leader in underclassman Xxylina Flores, who scored 17 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Flores has scored at least 25% of North's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Saniyah Downing, who scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds.
Casa Grande's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for North, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Casa Grande will square off against San Tan Foothills at 12:45 p.m. on Friday. As for North, they will face off against Florence at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
