The Old Plank Christian Academy Defenders pushed their score all the way to 56 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 60-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Duval Charter. Old Plank Christian Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Duval Charter found their leader in underclassman Kendan Tice, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. That's the first time this season that Tice pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Oseni, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and four blocks.
Old Plank Christian Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Duval Charter, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.
Old Plank Christian Academy and Victory Christian Academy will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Duval Charter, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Eagle's View at 12:00 p.m. on January 27th. Eagle's View has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,078 points over their last 15 games.
