The Miami Springs Golden Hawks will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Booker T. Washington Tornadoes on February 6th.
Last Thursday, Miami Springs suffered a rough 69-43 defeat at the hands of the Firebirds. While losing is never fun, Miami Springs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 722nd, while the Firebirds are ranked 231st).
Meanwhile, Booker T. Washington took their contest at home on Thursday with ease, bagging a 76-47 win over the Gators. The win made it back-to-back wins for Booker T. Washington.
It was another big night for Leroy Lee Jr, who scored 25 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jahmal David, who scored 14 points.
Miami Springs' loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Booker T. Washington, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-12 record this season.
Miami Springs lost to the Tornadoes on the road by a decisive 63-45 margin when the teams last played back in November of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Lee Jr, who scored 22 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. Now that Miami Springs knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
