Hudson is 0-3 against Hernando since January of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Hudson Cobras will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hernando Leopards at 8:00 p.m. Hudson is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
Last Thursday, Hudson came up short against Fivay and fell 65-52. Hudson has not had much luck with Fivay recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
The losing side was boosted by Tejacion Chapman, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds. Chapman is absolutely dominating the block category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season.
Meanwhile, Hernando unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were dealt a 78-39 defeat at the hands of Lecanto. While losing is never fun, Hernando can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 531st, while Lecanto is ranked 214th).
Hudson bumped their record down to 3-8 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Hernando, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
Hudson came up short against Hernando in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 55-50. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Hernando's Leandre Wright, who scored eight points along with 13 rebounds and nine steals. Now that Hudson knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
