The Spanaway Lake Sentinels were the 82-73 winner over the Lakes Lancers when they last played one another on January 5th, but their luck changed this time around. Spanaway Lake fell to Lakes 68-62. Spanaway Lake's loss continues an unfortunate trend for the team, making it three in a row.
Despite the loss, Spanaway Lake saw an underclassman step up: Darius Alexander scored 18 points along with four steals.
Spanaway Lake's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Lakes, their victory bumped their record up to 10-6.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Lincoln the next time they take the court. Lakes will head out to face Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Spanaway Lake will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
