Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask South Side). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Mt. Vernon-Enola Warhawks  a   15-0 shutout  on Friday.  Jacob Mahan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run over four innings pitched. What's more,  he posted five  strikeouts, the most he's  had since back in March. He was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.
 In other batting news,  Haze Hulse and  Cody Kuykendoll did most of the damage at the plate:  Hulse  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while going 3-for-4, while  Kuykendoll  went 2-for-3 with one  home run and four  RBI. Those  four  RBI gave  Kuykendoll a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Brayden Mooney, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances.
 South Side was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .526. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .333 or higher in four consecutive  contests.
South Side pushed their record up to 8-6 with the  victory, which was their third straight  on the road. Vernon-Enola, they will face off against Wonderview at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. The Daredevils will roll in looking for their  fourth straight  victory, something the Warhawks surely won't give up without a fight.
