Jackson-Olin is 2-8 against Parker since March of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. Meanwhile, after only one run in their last contest, Parker made sure to put some runs up on the board against Jackson-Olin on Tuesday. Everything went Parker's way against Jackson-Olin as Parker made off with a 19-7 victory. Considering the Thundering Herd have won seven games by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Conellrious Scott made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, Terrion Nevels was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted over his last 12 matches. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamarion Miller, who went 1-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Parker always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .579. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jackson-Olin only posted an OBP of .360.
Parker's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-8. As for Jackson-Olin, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Jackson-Olin has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 14.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Parker struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Jackson-Olin suffered a grim 19-7 defeat to Parker when the teams last played on Tuesday. Can Jackson-Olin avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
