Charter Oak is a perfect 10-0 against West Covina since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Chargers will take on the Bulldogs at 3:30 p.m. Charter Oak will come into the match with an undefeated record on the line.
Charter Oak gave up the first runs on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. Everything went their way against Covina as they made off with a 13-3 win. Considering the Chargers have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Leila Diebert made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double.

In other batting news, Charter Oak got a massive performance out of Lyla Caston, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Caston is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jazmyn Johnson, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Charter Oak kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 13 hits in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 18 runs the game before, West Covina was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They lost 11-2 to Wilson.
Charter Oak's victory was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-0. As for West Covina, their loss dropped their record down to 10-12-1.
Charter Oak took their win against West Covina in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 17-4 score. Will the Chargers repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
