Meanwhile, Sumter Christian put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They snuck past Northside Christian School with a 54-50 victory. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Sumter Christian has scored all year.
Aj Danzy was his usual excellent self, scoring 26 points. The contest was Danzy's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Quayshawn While was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Orangeburg Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Sumter Christian, they pushed their record up to 8-0 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home.
Orangeburg Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Sumter Christian when the teams last played back in January of 2021, winning 85-78.
