They took their match at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 48-8 victory over Sand Creek. The result was nothing new for Pueblo County, who have now won four matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.
Pueblo County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Johnathan Gonzales led the charge by rushing for 82 yards and a touchdown, while also picking up 60 receiving yards. Gonzales was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 60 yards. Terrell Dillaha was another key contributor, rushing for 113 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries.
Pueblo County's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Sand Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
