LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. -
Lake Oswego (Ore.) snapped the 10-game winning streak of
Tigard (Ore.), with a 42-21 victory on Saturday.
The Lakers were up 21-14 at the half after taking the lead on a
Justen Ruppe touchdown pass to
Mitch Lomax in the first quarter.
Both teams scored seven points in the third quarter, so the margin remained at seven entering the fourth.
With the win Lake Oswego extended its winning streak to 13 games. LO defeated the Titans 28-7 last week.
Ruppe was the top performer for the Lakers. The senior quarterback threw two touchdowns. He has now scored three touchdowns on the season.
Zach Floyd made a difference for the Tigers. The senior running back ran for two touchdowns.
Lake Oswego (13-0) will play a playoff game against Tigard next week. The Tigers go into the week with a record of 11-1.
