The Randall Raiders will be playing at home against the Perryton Rangers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Randall will be strutting in after a win while Perryton will be coming in after a loss.
Randall has not lost a match since January 17th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Tuesday. They never let Canyon onto the board and left with a 2-0 victory. Given Randall's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 184th, while Canyon is ranked 578th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Randall was led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Ryan McClain and
Yareli Ramos, who scored both of Randall's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 12 so far this season.
Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Perryton's offense. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 4-0 walloping at the hands of West Plains on Friday. While getting shut out isn't ideal, Perryton has not been shut out since back in January.
Randall pushed their record up to 13-3-2 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those four matches. As for Perryton, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3-5.
Everything went Randall's way against Perryton when the teams last played back in March of 2023 as Randall made off with a 5-0 victory. Does Randall have another victory up their sleeve, or will Perryton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
