The Centennial Coyotes suffered their biggest defeat since November 25, 2023 on Thursday. They were outmatched by Ironwood at home and fell 89-60. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Centennial in their matchups with Ironwood: they've now lost four in a row.
Ironwood's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Blake Carabio, who went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 28 points and 2 assists. Carabio has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was I'yar Shadowvine, who scored 23 points along with eight assists and six rebounds.
Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Ironwood, the victory (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 19-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Centennial will challenge Kellis at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Kellis is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak. As for Ironwood, they will head out on the road to square off against Paradise Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Paradise Valley is on a three-game streak of home wins, Ironwood a six-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
