Baseball Recap: Kendrick Beats Lapwai for Their Third Straight Victory

It was a proper cat-fight when Kendrick challenged Lapwai on Friday. The Tigers put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 18-5 win. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by nine runs or more this season.

Xavier Carpenter was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-5 with two runs and two RBI.

In other batting news, Ralli Roetcisoender was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with four runs. Another player making a difference was Kayne Lesnet, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

The victory (which was Kendrick's third in a row) raised their record to 12-1. As for Lapwai, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.
