The Penasco Panthers can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Saturday. They put the hurt on McCurdy with a sharp 50-30 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Penasco has posted since December 28, 2023.
Analise MacAuley was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 27 points and 13 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Atencio, who scored 11 points along with four steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Penasco and bumps their season record up to 10-8. As for McCurdy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Penasco will take on Escalante at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for McCurdy, they will be playing at home against Dulce at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
