They strolled past Faith Baptist Christian Academy with points to spare, taking the game 85-66. Given Bible Baptist Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while Faith Baptist Christian Academy is ranked 468th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bible Baptist Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alex Forbes, who scored 22 points along with two steals. Forbes is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Justin Coleman was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five assists and two steals.
Several Crusaders players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lex Bowen, who scored 25 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was RJ Legette, who scored 13 points along with seven assists and three steals.
Bible Baptist Christian's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.8 points per game. As for Faith Baptist Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 13-9.
Bible Baptist Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Trinity Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th. Trinity Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Bible Baptist Christian likes a good challenge. As for Faith Baptist Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Crossroads Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Crossroads Christian Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
