Caitlyn Karnes was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2025. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.
In other batting news, Mya Dunbar was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Abby Poff was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
Cave Spring hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least one batters in three consecutive games.
Patrick Henry's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Cave Spring, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
