The Calhan Bulldogs won the last time they faced the St. Mary's Pirates, and things went their way on Friday too. Everything went Calhan's way against St. Mary's as Calhan made off with a 41-18 win. The result was nothing new for Calhan, who have now won four games by 23 points or more so far this season.
St. Mary's' lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Michael Trechter, who threw for 321 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Ryan Strub, who picked up 168 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Calhan has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for St. Mary's, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 2-6.
Calhan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. St. Mary's will look to defend their home field on Friday against Simla at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Simla's favor is that they have now posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season.
