Monrovia won the last time they faced Mooresville Christian and things went their way on Saturday too. The Monrovia Bulldogs snuck past the Mooresville Christian Eagles with a 47-43 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Monrovia's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hayden Mccloud led the charge by going 6 of 9 on his way to 15 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. Jake Shields also deserves some recognition as he pulled down his first board of the season.

Monrovia was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mooresville Christian only posted eight assists.

When it comes to explaining why Mooresville Christian lost, don't look at Gresh Warren. Despite the final result, he posted 23 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. Warren is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Harrison Craney was another key player, putting up eight points.

Monrovia's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-8. As for Mooresville Christian, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monrovia will welcome South Putnam at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Monrovia is facing South Putnam at the right time seeing as South Putnam is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. Mooresville Christian has already played their next match (against International), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
