The Armwood Hawks can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against Riverview by a score of 59-52. That's another feather in the cap for Armwood, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Talon Mckinnie continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Miles Davis was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Despite the loss, Riverview still got an impressive performance from Bryson Kearney, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Alexander Mercer-Eriksen, who scored eight points.
Armwood's win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-17. As for Riverview, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-17.
Armwood will take on the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Brandon comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Riverview, they and the Warriors will face off at 6:30 p.m. on February 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Steinbrenner focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday.
