The Fullerton Indians''s five-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. In a tight match that could have gone either way, they made off with a 22-21 win over Buena Park. The win was just what Fullerton needed coming off of a 45-7 defeat in their prior matchup.
Fullerton's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Deshawn Cobbs, who rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown. Dallas Padron was another key contributor, rushing for 23 yards and a touchdown.
Despite the loss, Buena Park still got an impressive performance from Jaden Moore, who rushed for 154 yards and two touchdowns, and also caught a touchdown.
Fullerton's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Buena Park, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 6-5.
Fullerton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Buena Park will look to defend their home field on Friday against Arroyo Valley at 7:00 p.m. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Ronald Weathers and Moore.
