A well-balanced attack led the Westerville South Wildcats over the Hayes Pacers in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Westerville South blew the Pacers out of the water with a 71-34 final score. Given Westerville South's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 151st, while the Pacers are ranked 565th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Westerville South found their leader in underclassman Ariyana Cradle, who scored 20 points along with two steals and two blocks. It was the first time this season that Cradle posted two or more blocks. Cirrye White was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with two steals.
Westerville South is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Hayes, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-15.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westerville South will take on the Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hayes, they will be playing at home against the Irish at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Dublin Scioto focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday.
