After flying high against Sterling Heights Stevenson  on Tuesday, Fraser came back down to earth. The Ramblers took  a  7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Utica Chieftains on Thursday. The Ramblers were not able to make up for their  loss to the Chieftains from their previous meeting  back in May of 2024.

 Gabrielle Gajewski put in work no matter where she played. She  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with one  home run.
 Gajewski wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Isabel Wilson, who  went 1-for-3 with one  run and one  RBI.
Fraser's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Utica,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 5-4.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fraser will head out to  face off against Chippewa Valley  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Big Reds have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.91  runs per game on average), something the Ramblers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Utica, they are taking a road trip to  square off against Adams  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday.
